Not to hijack this thread, but if you were going to be staying at the Remington on a Sunday night, where would you eat downtown? Also, anywhere on a Sunday night to get a decent beer downtown? TIA.

There's a guy related to someone in my family on the other side who is about to open a place in Alexandria. I believe it's going to be called Carroll Cathey's. He apparently had a small place in Pollock for a while that became very popular. I'm told it's terrific bbq.Here's the Facebook page if you want to take a look. I lived in both for 5+ years each. both have pros and cons. Baton Rouge has LSU. Shreveport has much less traffic. Give me shreveport with a drive down to BR for the games.
