Not to hijack this thread, but if you were going to be staying at the Remington on a Sunday night, where would you eat downtown? Also, anywhere on a Sunday night to get a decent beer downtown? TIA.

Across the bridge at Two Johns, or in the hood at Herbie K's.

It's basically the same city?

I'm sorry any thread about Shreveport triggers you so hard that you have to melt about it, but just ignore them. Or go find some thread on the wrong board so you can bitch about it or something German.

Someone just asked for help, the douche schtick plays better on the OT.

I'm just curious and not trying to be a smarty, but do you just eat bbq when you're on the road?

Two pages and no one has said Jack's on North Market. Great food.

Also, like someone else said, Taylor's right across the street from Jack's on Fridays
Fun fact: Tre White's grandmother works at Taylor's

If you are coming from Minden, Silver Star is at I-20 and Hwy 80 on the east side of Bossier...

Only one melting is you baw.

I simply stated the fact that Shreveport sucks a bag of AIDS infected dicks and then you came to white knight.

Sorry you can’t handle the truth

I’ll let you have the last word...I know you won’t be able to handle not getting another comment in.

Another coworker was doing the same in Lafayette, Leesville, and Lake Charles during the same time frame, except she was eating gumbo!she tried 6 different places.

I think I'd do what she did over bbq.

There's a guy related to someone in my family on the other side who is about to open a place in Alexandria. I believe it's going to be called Carroll Cathey's. He apparently had a small place in Pollock for a while that became very popular. I'm told it's terrific bbq. Here's the Facebook page if you want to take a look. Maybe it will be open soon and you can report back.

A completely irrelevant opinion and a douche comment to make when someone is looking for a recommendation.

Drive the hour to longview and go to bodacious bbq.

We lived in Shreveport, Bossier & Longview at various times.

We would drive to LV from S’port just to get Bodacious brisket.

But we would also go to Cobbs in Bossier for the chicken, ribs, hot links and ham poboy. Don’t know if it is as good as it used to be since the owner died ~ 10 years ago.

people from shreveport dont understand Shreveport is BR lite. And people in BR dont realize Shreveport is BR with less people and a better interstate system and a loop.

I lived in both for 5+ years each. both have pros and cons. Baton Rouge has LSU. Shreveport has much less traffic. Give me shreveport with a drive down to BR for the games.

edit: But give me neither if that's an option
