Real BBQ and More is pretty good. The nice fellow who owns it was in the news this week. Needs a kidney.

Country Tavern is pretty good. The filets there are good and a bargain if not in the mood for Q. I go for ribs or the steak, sometimes chopped beef sandwich.

Silver Star Grille is a nice place, with usually some cute waitresses running around. Has BBQ and other items too.

Nope.

All the BBQ here is mediocre at best.

I was up there a few weeks for work. I had some good lunches at Jack's.

The only thing that is must-go-to in Shreveport is the interstate to get out of Shreveport

Country Tavern

Is that the same rib joint that’s across the Texas line, used to be ‘out in the sticks’?

I do not think it is related, but I’ve had fine takeout from Bodacious of La in Bossier a few years back.

I do love me some Texas Bodacious...the 2nd Kilgore exit off I 20.

I've been meaning to take a trip to Gladewater (north of I-20, between Longview and Tyler), where one of the Bodacious principals has taken over the location. Daniel Vaughan gives it high marks in Texas Monthly.

Jordan jackson runs/owns (not sure exactly) the one in longview as well. He operates either 2 or 3 of them I believe.

Eta: guess i shouldve read the article before commenting, lol.
