Will be in the area tomorrow. Looking for something not too far from Ball/Creole. Don’t want to go into Alexandria.

Near Ball? Some people love to eat At Taint but I’ve heard it can be too salty at times.
They’re telling me that’s my time. I’ll show myself out. Don’t forget to tip your waitress.

Ever been to Boyce? It's what I would call a third world small town but they used to have a place with some good fried chicken there, when they had chicken in stock.

Buckets (fried seafood) is good but not life changing. Their fried mushrooms and pull apart potatoes are where the money is. People seem to like their fried fish but I am more of a shrimp guy.
Mikados is a sushi place in kingsville which has IMO the best sushi in Cenla. Their hibachi is sub par though so stick to their sushi menu.
Quebideauxs is close by in kingsville. Their crawfish deuce is probably my favorite food in kingsville. The last couple of times we went, the food was great but the service is hit or miss.
Jerusalem is in the same shopping center as Quebideauxs and mikados. It is an above average Arab/Greek place. Their rice pilaf Stands out.
You are about 5 minutes away from killer NY style pizza in Tioga at Phillys. Definitely worth the small drive.

It’s north of Pineville. I happen to have a cousin who lives there.

Do NOT speed going through Ball or Pollock or Georgetown or Tullos or Urania or Olla, etc...
all small villages with 1-2 caution lights located on 165 between Alec and Funroe.
Have travelled those roads for 20+ years doing business in NLA

The crazy Cajun is between ball and creole. I have heard good things about it. haven't been in several years, but that's only bc I'm never over that way. Last I remember it was pretty decent

I read that it had reopened recently. Owner’s niece bought it I think.

Yes I've been there once. Going today to see some of the wife's family.
Thanks all others for the suggestions.
