Any decent Cajun places in Huntsville, AL?

I'm here on business. Any place I can find crawfish and a decent gumbo? And don't tell me Tim's Cajun Cafe. I tried that place a year ago and I left thinking it was the worst "Louisiana" food I'd ever had. Gotta be someplace else here.

Why are you looking for Louisiana food in Alabama? I’ll never understand this. 100% it will be terrible and one of the cheapest, tacky atmospheres in the town.
I’d be looking for some BBQ or some soul food, maybe some hip farm to table place...not the Mulates of Space City.

If you find one let me know, lots of other good places to eat with other cuisine there though.

Anyway, got to see the Vice-president yesterday, so that was cool.

Po Boy Factory about 6 blocks north of Five Points. It's... serviceable.

Hey now, go easy on Tim’s. It’s quick, cheap, and close to UAH. Was a go to place during school for lunch.
But yeah...huntsvegas has a ton of great food options. Cajun isn’t one of them though.

You apparently missed the rest of of the post...
It was a quick, cheap lunch for a college kid.

Wouldn't go near one of those places now.

It's not too bad. Again, don't expect anything like what you're going to get in LA.
We have an annual "crawfish boil" here that the wife and I always go to just because it's a good charity event, but...yeah. It's crawfish I guess. I miss visiting my aunt and uncle in New Roads.

Closest place I know of is near Fayetteville. Uncle J's Seafood in Kelso. Dude is from Baton Rouge.

I saw your post and thought "hmm, might have to give it a try when I'm back home visiting the family".
That place is in the middle of nowhere
Menu looks damn good though.

Tim’s sucks. The po-boy factory is your best bet, but’s it’s pretty meh for even Shreveport standards.

Easy money for a cook from LA is to open a cajun/creole shop outside of LA.
There's a dude named Henry Chandler with a restaurant, Henry's, not far from my house here in GA. It's nothing amazing but he does a pretty damn good job of representing LA. Because of that, he's sitting on a fricking goldmine. Thousands of positive Yelp reviews, featured on ABC national and countless local shows, expanded his restaurant. Dude is rolling in the dough because he opened a good cajun spot outside of LA.

And I’ve seen James Graham struggle to get tables in Florida, not sure what that has to do with my post. Point stands, there will always be outliers.

Not in Huntsville, but the Rougaroux in Bham is very legit. Highly recommend if you ever find yourself in bham
