Alternatives walkable from Emerills.

Staying near WWII museum and cruise ship birth so looking for good dinner options that are walkable from Emerills as can only afford there one night.

I gotta contrast everyone saying herbsaint, felt a little let down when I went a few weeks ago. Nothing bad, just not over the top either.
Gianna is right in that neighborhood and another Link restaurant, but for my money I'd walk or Uber over to Irene's

All these suggestions seem good but Iam surprised to see that many don’t have a lot of entree options. And not a lot of classic NOLA recipes that are unique to NOLA. At have you Uber to Arnaud’s or Commanders or Broussard’s.
Has to be more options in warehouse district huh? No soul food? They all were either Link Group or Emerils except for Tommy’s and Annunciation. Do those groups own the warehouse to docks district?

You didn't say that's what you wanted, to be fair
You mostly have to visit a classic longstanding New Orleans restaurant if you're looking for "New Orleans food" in the stereotypical sense. Cochon does a very good job cooking Louisiana food, though it is more cheffy than the classics. Still very solid.
Most of the classic places you're naming are not in the CBD, but not a bad Uber IMO. There's a couple of tourist spots like Mother's walkable to your request, but I've never been and don't recall great things being said about it here so no idea there. I just know there's a very long line of visitors anytime I've passed.

If traditional creole iconic NOLA is what you are looking for you will need to be where the tourists are- in the FQ. Mr B's, Brennan's, Galatoires etc. or Commanders in the garden district. All really good but not walkable. Short uber rides are easy though.

I live in Lafayette so have been to NOLA. Always go to Mothers for a Ferdi Special or oyster poboy in winter or some debris. Will make it to Napoleon House for a sandwich. Just am not sure of the similar local favorite near Warehouse District to Docks.

Maybe Galliano’s, Restaurant Rebirth, or Briquette is what you’re looking for. All within a few blocks of Emeril’s.

Drago's is what you seek. Locals love it. They even built one in Metarie so those out in the suburbs didn't have to deal with coming all the way downtown.

They have one in Lafayette too
OP, you were given a very solid list of places in the Warehouse District, unfortunately they don’t all have the number of entree options of Chili’s.
