Hell, starting at Canal and Carrollton heading toward City Park there must be 15 or more places to eat in a 4 block run along Carrollton alone.
You can hardly find a parking space in the Winn-Dixie parking lot around lunch time with people parking and walking to eat and one of the many places in that area.

This isn’t unusual, she just took things too far.
A couple years ago the LLA got shot down because they found 1000s of people with six figure incomes on the Medicaid roster, but the dept of revenue wouldn’t share info, so it couldn’t be validated.
Ironically, at the same time a lobbyist started requesting Medicaid records for a long term Shreveport legislator…within a week she retired.

Went 2 weeks ago and had some of the worst service I’ve had in a while. Just an odd experience. Felt like it was her first solo shift. Drinks were misordered and food took forever. Not a stickler for great service, but it was so bad you couldn’t not notice it.

I am missing how she actually defrauded Medicaid. Does she have some medical businesses? Does she need a lot of helathcare? There’s something missing from the story here.

Yup.
I kept getting Medicaid notices for some tenants children after they left. I thought it was strange, because I always assumed the NFL provided decent healthcare.

Why did they need a tip, aren’t these people social security number used to verify income if on Medicaid? You would think yearly a flag would be triggered. The government knows exactly how much money I make.

Agents wrote in the warrant that if Araujo had accurately reported her household income, she would not have met the eligibility criteria for Medicaid.
