A trip down memory lane. Who here can name this place in Baton Rouge?

No longer in existence and this location, I believe, was their "second" location after their first location closed. I hope I am telling this correctly.

Personally, we had our wedding rehearsal dinner there (first location), so it will always be a meaningful place and restaurant to me.

The Great Wall on College.

We used to hit it up on the way hack from Saints games. Could you eat 29 Phoenix rolls??

Nope.

I heard horror stories from a friend of mine that used to work for a pest company about that place. Even above and beyond what is typically found in a restaurant.

The Great Wall was in the shopping center that was torn down when Walmart was built. I’ve lived off of College Dr for 30 years and that isn’t any building that’s been on College.

In the right ethnicity of food, but the wrong restaurant listed.

I sort of knew that, but didn't.

I was like, well maybe he's being serious.

Nope.

I'll reveal the name in this post. See below.

I was wrong about the "second" location. It was essentially the same concept but scaled-down and under a different name.

Maggio's Delicatessen and Catering, located on Old Hammond Highway in Baton Rouge. I remember eating there one time and there were gunshots popping off across the street. A buddy and I each retrieved our pistols from our vehicles because we were concerned the gun fire would spill over into the restaurant --- and we were the only ones there with our families.

The first location was called Maggio's on O'Neal Lane.

Good memories.

Is this pre-Katrina? Because I’ve been told this never happened before then.

Doesn't look like a Pizza Hut though.

I miss both Dajonel's and The Place. Proposed to my wife at The Place.

Maggio's off of Old Hammond, great food.

ETA: Looks like I was right. Didn't go there too many times, but always enjoyed it.
