Almost every town has a local burger place that is better and cheaper. Here in Alex there are 4-5 places that have a better burger for less.

Hell Wendy’s is about the same quality, fries are superior at 5 guys, but I’m not a huge lover of fries

If I go there, I order a hot dog à la carte. They are very good.

And to the OP - is this a chain-wide change on the fries? One idiot manning the fry station? Just that particular franchise trying to cut costs?

Wow - I wasn't arguing, was just curious. It's a lot for a meal - when my family of 5 goes we usually split one large fry to keep the costs down a bit. But for one person that's a lot.

I can go to Desi’s Burger in Harahan and get a gourmet burger and fries fir the same price. No contest.

Not sure where you are, but a little bacon cheeseburger and little cajun fry last week cost me less than $14.

One large fry at Five Guys equals more than enough fries for all of us to eat. So instead of spending more money and wasting food, we choose to keep the cost down by paying for what we are going to eat.

Seems pretty sensible to me, but I am apparently not a frivolous person like you.

I like them okay but I’ve been moreso wanting grilled burgers over their steamed burger thing.
