Actually not true. You are the first person exhibiting douchebaggery in the thread.

I've never understood the people who hate on craft beer.
These are typically the same people that would call any liquor drink that wasn't whiskey or bourbon based "queer" because they perceive it to be a weak drink, but it's also "queer" to drink a beer with a higher ABV. And drinking Budweiser is as American as it gets, despite A-B being Belgian, but drinking beer from a local source isn't American somehow? Very confusing bunch of folks.

Ask me tomorrow and I could have a different 5. With that in mind, here are 5 in no particular order:
- Russian River Pliny the Elder
- The Alchemist Heady Topper
- Parish Envie
- Terrapin Watermelon Gose
- Surly Coffee Bender

Thought about that one reaaaaal hard. Big fan of that beer. A friend was telling me it's a shelfturd up there, which blows my mind.

Tough question. I would have to break it down by style. You would absolutely need a lawn mowing/lake/all day football watching beer in there so I would go with a kolsch or a lager. You'd need a good IPA in the 7% range. Then I'd probably need an imperial IPA, imperial stout, and a barleywine for the last few spots. Although that many big beers does seem impractical.
-Blue Mountain Kolsch
-Jai Lai IPA
-Firestone Double Jack
-Avery Uncle Jacob's Stout
-GI Bourbon County Barleywine

I really enjoy how coffee forward it is, with a decently big body, yet it's so easy to drink. Give me that kind of coffee beer over a 10% stout if I'm picking something to drink for the rest of my life.

Not only that, but in this thread people are listing all sorts of beers, craft and otherwise and it's not a clustermess like it sometimes gets.
I might have to bookmark your post though. Well said.

I almost put Coors or Bud in my list. There are times where I just dont want to drink the craft stuff and get hammered on some good ole fashioned light beer

I have Mich Ultra as my 5th.
"Five beers you want to drink" is different than
"five beers for the rest of your life"
Good to have a alternative.
