A guy from work brings Boudin and Cracklin's from Billy's at least once a week. I've had boudin from other places but Billy's is my favorite.

I'm a fan of Best Stop. Billy's too if I feel like standing in line for a half hour.

I love kartchners for the variety they provide. Their deer boudin is a favorite or mine.

Best Stop

Im partial to Best Stop. It does everything well. Usually only feel like making one stop on the way through instead of several places for different items

Stopped at Billy's and it did not disappoint.

Wasn't that hungry but tried one of the pepper jack boudin balls. Very good but the star was the smoked boudin. Grilled it over oak (yes the casing ruptured). Amazing stuff.

Bar is set high but look forward to trying Don's and Best's.

That's like listening to Sammy Hagar Van Halen after David Lee Roth Van Halen. Sure, it's still good, but you're left wanting.

Billy's boudin balls consistently excellent.

Hot tip of the evening.

Buy Billy’s boudin balls or any boudin ball. Put in middle of bowl. Ladle a good gumbo over it.

You’re welcome.

Market Basket on Nelson in Lake Charles (off I-210). Best smoked boudin around.

Easily Billy’s in Scott.
I do love Ronnie’s in Baton Rouge (Florida Blvd)
The Bergeron’s in port Allen is really great too for smoked boudin and cracklins

Boudin:
Billy’s has the best frozen boudin balls or egg rolls packaging for cooking later. Just be prepared to stand in long lines unless you schedule your visit weekdays 8-10 am, also early afternoons.
I’m partial to Best Stop for all other cold or frozen foods, including their smoked boudin as the best in the corridor. As an aside, anything Best Stop stuffs is excellent.
I live closer to Bergeron’s; their smoked boudin is good.

Cracklins:
Bergeron’s are definitely one of the best in the corridor.

Bergeron’s has stores in both Port Allen and Gonzales off I-10.

Grew up on it so I’m biased. But I just love their rice heavy boudin

I went into Bergeron's at Cabelas today. Got some boudin balls and crackling. Boudin balls were blah but the crackling is frickin great.
