2013 was a big beer year for me. I was always into craft beer, but during lent I gave up beer and to keep the hope alive I lived through this thread. Here I discovered many new thing and made many new friends. In 2014 I plan on making a trip to CCB and Yazoo.

Top 12 (INPO, just selecting 12 was hard enough):
-Cantillon Soleil De Minuit
-50/50 Eclipse EC 12 Year
-CCB Good Gourd Almighty
-CCB 110K+OT Batch 6
-CCB Life is Like
-CCB Hunahpu
-Old Hickory Lindley Park
-Hill Farmstead Abner
-3F Oude Gueuze Golden Blend
-Jester King Atrial Rubicite
-New England Fuzzy Baby Ducks
-DC Brau On the Wings of Armageddon

2014 I want to knockout some Bruery Stuff (Black Tuesday, Chocolate Rain, fruited sours) and try more under the radar local east coast beers.

Also start homebrewing again. Get a couple freezers setup (fermentation chamber and a cellar).

And this,

We have great wives, they putup with alot.

2013 was a good year considering all the new beers we have access to now in LA.

For 2014 I think I'm gonna get on untapped. Should I start fresh or check in to all the beers I know I've had already?

Start fresh. More fun that way.

Off the top of my head, here are some favorites out of the new ones I tried this year:

Toppling Goliath PseudoSue
Toppling Goliath Sosus
Jester King Atrial Rubicite
CCB 110k+OT Batch 6
Heady Topper
RR Consecration (I made my first trip to RR and it was awesome)
Bruery Oude Tart w/ Cherries
Freetail La Muerta
Abyss 2011 and 2012

Resolutions:
- Upset the wife MORE...I think I let her off easy this year. I need to amp it up next year to keep things interesting
- Finish building my beer shed
- Stop buying so much beer to trade. Just buy what I need and if I try other great beers in the process, great. If not, I'll live.

My "New Beers Resolution" is to drink 30 different beers on my visit to Australia in June.

I drank 20 different beers in Central Europe this year. Outstanding.

My New Year's Resolution is to drink more local beers and to spend less money on beer. I have discovered some fantastic beers that are brewed by local places that don't bottle. I'm going to start filling growlers instead of buying bottles. Cheaper and I'm supporting the local bearded guy.

2013 was the year I moved to Oregon and started discovering west coast beers.

Lists are in no particular order, as I have a different favorite on any given days, depending on my mood.

Favorite Hoppy Beers tried in 2013:
Hop Venom
Heady Topper
Jai Alai
Sticky Hands
Notorius
Breakside IPA
RPM
Endeavor
Crux Outcast
Transcend

Dark Beers:
The Abyss
Parabola
PNC
Beer Geek Weasel Brunch
Biscotti Break
Chocolate Rain
Marshal Zhukov

Others:
Sahalie
LaTache
Consecration
Supplication
Mother of All Storms
Sang Noir
Cascade Apricot
The Dissident
La Folie
Tartare

May add to the list later, because I don't keep records.

For now it will just house two refrigerators for my beer so I can get it out of the guest bedroom. At some point it may be for home brewing, but I've never gotten in to it.

You need to get your hands on some 110k+OT Batch 6 so you can try it again...it was like Dark Chocolate Raspberry crack. I tried to trade for some and offered up everything in my cellar, but no one would bite.

2013 was a big year of festivals and breweries for me.

I just checked untapped and my highest rated beer is the BBA imperial biscotti break so apparently that was the highlight of my year

It's too difficult for me to create a top 10 for the year

Although 2013 was not quite as intense as 2012, I still tried so many new beers this year that I can't list the top 10. I can say that my favorite new brewery discovery in 2013 is Westbrook.

Cheers to all the fellow FBDers I met this year for the first time. Lots of quality people!

Top 10 in no order

Hopslam (over hyped but I really enjoyed it)
Choklat
Bitter Monk
Westy XII
Coffee Bender
Crooked Letter Mystery Romp
Mexican Cake
Unearthly
Enjoy By 12/13/13
Trappistes Rochefort 10

This was the first year for me to really go all out on beer. To really LOOK for it. It was a great year. Had some amazing brews.

Resolutions

Visit more out of state breweries (non-LA or NC)
Visit Parish
Try 150 new brews
Try more European brews
Develop a taste for sours
Explore home brewing. Even if I don't start, think about it

Spend less should be on that list, but...

ETA: add try Russian River products and Heady Topper to that list. It will happen for me.

Cantillon gueuze, iris, kriek
Supplication
Firestone walker XVI, DJ
Cocoa mole'
FFF Dreadnaught

Yeah, I've had a lot of good beers this year.

Like some of you have said, drinking down the stash, homebrewing more, and spending a little less time/money chasing down some rare beers are probably all good ideas.

I say that now, but as soon as the first rare beer hits shelves, I'll be there.
