I plan on building a keezer and homebrewing more. Also switching over to all grain and enter at least 2 competitions.
I've enjoyed some really good beers this year but want to try and track down some of the bigger better beers ie Pliny, heady, and some Russian rivers.

Most of y'all put way more time and effort into beer than me. If I'm planning on having beers I hit the store and buy something I've never tried along with something I like. I'm with Rohan2Reed, I don't "cellar" anything or have a stash. At the end of the day it's gone. With my limited selection it's good to have friends like bbrou and Ham that are great beer mules.

if we can ever put together our NWLA FBD tasting, I could help you with a few of these

Sounds good to me. My brother is going to Dallas soon and I have a list for him. My bro in law is in Delaware currently and is calling me today while he's at the store.

I know I had this at the jamboree. Wish I could remember what it tasted like.
Therein lies the problem with large bottle shares. This includes that scenario when someone pours a couple of ounces of beer number 22 into your glass and you haven't quite finished all of beer number 21...

True. There are merits and minuses to both large and small tastings, IMO. I enjoy both.

this was probably my #1 beer of the year. others that really stood out for me, having them for the first time, was Heady Topper, Straight to Ale Cabernet Barrel Aged Laika, Velvet Merkin.. I'm sure there's tons others but most were tasted at large beer nerd gatherings and I don't have untappd so the names escape me.
resolution:
either buy less beer or exercise more. need to get back in shape some how. leaning towards the latter.
