Imagine bragging about drinking Weller green

Weller green label is pretty solid bourbon at its price point IMO.

Personally Id be suggesting getting both Woodford Reserve Double Oaked and Old Forester Prohibition Style before most of the bottles at the $150 price point, but to each their own.

You might be able to find a Midwinter Nights Dram Rye at the $150 price point if you are buying for someone who is into rye.

Not a bourbon guy but do a little hunting for friends. I see Kentucky Owl in the higher price point but have t seen much talk about it in any threads. What’s the opinion on this?

We had Confiscated in a 5 bottle blind and it came in second place for us. That's a bottle I'd definitely recommend in the price point, and it's readily available. Trash collector obviously won't like it, but most other people will.

Get a bottle each of Four Roses Small Batch Select and Woodford Reserve Double Oaked instead. You would still save approx $30.

No spirit is worth $150, imo.

Get 6 bottles of Johnny drum and get the party started.

Blantons certainly isn’t worth the hype, but it’s better than eagle rare.

I’ve had a few of their higher end offerings, I thought they were fine (they also source from Barton, or that’s what they taste like). Decent but not worth $300 is what everyone who split the bottle felt about it. Glad I paid $25 for a pour rather than $300 for a bottle.

Hell if I know what he drinks. I bought a bottle of Jefferson Ocean last year and he seemed to have enjoyed that.

Whistle Pig 12 year if you can find for ~$130 is one of my go to nice bottles. Otherwise a 10 year for ~$90 or so.
