I believe Louisiana has lidar for the entire state and noaa's topographic data inventory page says LSU is the source of the data access. I would assume the agcenter map would be using the lidar data, so it should be accurate.

Sweet! I should be okay then, but just barely.
My office (which I would swear was lower) is actually 15-20 feet higher.

A levee failure should actually be modeled like a dam failure, in which case the momentum of the volume of water can actually cause the floodwave to surge higher than what the water surface elevation is prior to failure. That's not going to happen with a levee like the one y'all have on the Mississippi though.

17 feet...SON OF A BITCH...but it does say something about the wind speed being 106 so I'm not trusting the numbers

I put my address in and I am at 283 ft. There was no picture of Arkansas but it gave me numbers and marked my spot. It's crazy how low and close y'all live to the ocean. I'd say a prayer if I was religious, but i'll just have to wish y'all the best of luck and hope everyones homes, possessions, and lives make it through untouched.

The original link was off. The new link is accurate.

anyone else having trouble getting the map to work? I can't get a new point to load and the initial location always says 100 mph wind speed and 0 ft elevation.

I think the wind speed has to do with building codes. My house is around 7.4' on that map. I thought it was closer to 10' but then again I have never had an elevation survey done. If Terrebonne gets close to the 5' predicted it will get interesting down here.

I find this is more accurate. This site here shows the over pass heights as well.
elevation map
Move the KSIL arrow to your location and to the right will tell you the elevation
