Sounds like a multi year problem for Avoylles Parish and a seasonal one for fishing/shrimping in Lake Pontchartrain.

There are going to be levee failures at some point. Wasn't it like 1993 when shite got real in Missouri? This is much worse.

Posted on 5/2/11 at 8:05 pm to WoWyHi
slightly higher, and I'm wondering if those figures are factoring in the current rain upstream
Posted on 5/2/11 at 8:07 pm to LSUsmartass
forecast was readjusted up today w/ it previously being at 44.5'. Another change wouldn't surprise me

I could see a revision in the next day or two on the projected levels.

I don't see why avoyelles would be affected that much except if something happened with the atchafalaya.

Everyone is worry about Osama right now then there own safety if they live in the southen states it seems..
Posted on 5/2/11 at 8:09 pm to LSUsmartass
I don't think we should go full panic mode quite yet, but more people in parts of LA should definitely be keeping up with the flooding. Osama's dead. Time to move on.
