So how do we MAGA this topic?

Probably hope that Trump initiates a discussion at the federal level.

If you can find a legislator to author a bill, chances are it will be shot down in committee. I listened to the debate over the 2015 medical bill, which only includes oil pills, and it sounded like something straight out of Reefer Madness. The legislators often fall in line with the Sheriff's because of the public image of not doing so. The free trips to Florida resorts probably help too.

Or don't tax it.

Yes, but the Republicans will never go for this as it would alienate the Christian Right and the PoPo (read powerful Sheriff lobby that makes major cheese on "criminals").

Yep. I've heard people who damned well knew better spout the biggest bunch of bullshite when arguing on this issue.

They will make arguments that they know are moronic to keep the fines coming and bail bondmsan rich, etc.

I honestly think it'll be legal nationwide in the next 10 years

it feels a lot like gay marriage thing where one or two states legalized it... then four or five more.. and soon the majority of people are just going to be wondering why it's not legal everywhere. And then, suddenly, it will be.

Not a conservative or a Louisiana resident, but I guess I'll chime in.

Legalize it.

I'm a Christian evangelical with libertarian leanings politically. The "Christian right" doesn't always think the way we're portrayed.
