pissing on Blount County.

I will always piss on Blount County. I reserve that right. I may even shite on it occasionally, too.

I like Blount County. It's extremely pretty.

The only problem is that it's dry and filled with Church of Christ.

Technically the county is dry. But cities in the county are wet. I know Oneonta and Blountsville are both wet. And Oneonta has some really good restaurants now.

It’s like an hour and a half ride up I-65 from Bham to Huntsville.

Ahh so I thought wrong lol. Idk why I thought that. I drive through Bham once or twice a year going to Tenn but I guess I have never had to go up to Huntsville. I just imagine every state outside of La and Miss have that Texas suburban sprawl going on.

Huntsville is 20 miles off of I 65 going along I 565 so you wouldn’t really have a need to go through Huntsville if you were passing through Alabama towards Nashville

You'd just have to pass through Athens. Please don't stop.

But they’ve got a Buc-ees now. Athens is truly the next frontier of Alabama excellence

Mississippi and Louisiana are really battling it out to see which southern state can progress the least out of the southern states

The Huntsville "metro" area is predicted to pass Birmingham as the most populous area of Al-la-BAMA within the 2020s.

That’s not even close to true.

Huntsville metro is 462,000

Birmingham metro is 1,151,000

One of the reasons I like(d) Limestone Co is the relatively sleepy feel. I might have to say adios if this just becomes a giant suburb

East side of Athens says Hi. West end of the county might still feel that way, but East of 65 where I live gets worse by the day I think

I think it’s the city proper that is expected to exceed Birmingham, not the metro area.

Birmingham is surrounded by a ton of satellite cities that will help to keep the metro area large even as the city itself gets smaller.

Off the top of my head, the only major satellite city for Huntsville is Madison.

Good good. If the Yankee aggressors return it will be like a scene from The Final Countdown.
