Seems like some are suggesting the prices are ahead of themselves unless you are holding for 4-5 years. I was under the impression we were still pretty early. I am also brand new to uranium and don’t even pretend to know.

They definitely are for any company which can't actually produce Uranium within the next 3-5 years. The objective (if you are a Uranium junior) is to sign and fulfill a substantial multi-year contract with utilities.

The big guys like Kazatomprom and Cameco are safe bets in a relative sense because they can produce the Uranium already (and they pay dividends).

A SPUT or URA or URNM can be fairly safe provided the investor tempers their greed and takes profits instead of getting greedy.

This is a relevant interview with a Uranium OG from the last cycle.

LINK

John Borshoff ran Paladin last cycle and runs Deep Yellow now. If you like specific (instead of sector funds) stocks I would say there's risk but Deep Yellow is one of the small number of juniors that might actually produce before the end of the cycle.

My opinion and I've spoken with people who know more about the industry than I do is that this bull run will go on for the next 1-2 years. I've heard the 4-5 years, but Uranium companies can't just turn on mines at the flick of a switch. They need contracts right now to fulfill contracts 4-5 years out.

The supply deficit is right here right now. Utilities don't know it yet, but I'm not trimming a thing until we see contracts start flowing. I think this will happen in the next 12 months.

Uranium companies that can go into production during this cycle will probably give you the best returns. Don't count out juniors tho. This industry has had minimal investments over the past 10 years. There's not enough supply to meet demand. Juniors are needed too. Find some good ones to put in your portfolio for the most upside.

So for someone just getting into this sector is a better trade SRUUF or someone like Cameco? SRUUF seems to be the disruptor and they do not have mining issues. I recognize there are premium issues, but it seems like those get resolved relatively quickly. I am probably too late to this space and probably have too much to learn to be in it.

If you're new and want some exposure pick up URNM or URA shares. That's the safest way to gain exposure.

This market can be volatile so I would do research to gain some conviction around the thesis.

I don't know if I'd recommend buying right now either. We've had one hell of a run the past 3 weeks. Personally, I'd wait for the next pullback, but I could be wrong. It might run until the new year lol. I think we're a little frothy and a lot of short positions have jumped on board recently. One down day could trigger a short-term sell off and in the uranium market that might mean 10%-20% in one day!

Found this yesterday researching. It’s from Energy Fuels (UUUU) 10k filing.

They do not have existing locked long term contracts while they have continued to accumulate uranium with plans for future long term contracts. Seems to be about to pay off for them. Seems like they’re in the perfect position right now.

I’m new to this discussion, I am no expert, and I did open a small stake in UUUU yesterday as I previously commented. Just sharing for discussion and critique.

Same. If we get some sort of pull back I’ll add more. Weary of chasing it up the ladder. Maybe that’s wrong, just on principle it feels wrong to chase it up.

UEC up to 3.5, thinking about getting out as I’ve doubled my money but FOMO is a bitch & if it goes to $5 or better I’ll hate myself.

Don't get out of UEC other than your original investment. It has a lot of room to grow.

Had a feeling SRUUF had ran too much when units wasn't being issued with a 28% NAV premium. Their current NAV price is $12.47 a 3.8% discount to premium of $12.95 closing price seems much more reasonable. I added more at $12.70 today.

Also added to UUUU, GLATF, FCUUF, PENMF on the dip couple days ago. Trimmed some STTDF and NEX for LEU but it ran away from me, so I'll just keep that cash on the sideline for now. Planning to hold URNM & URA longer term. Been in most of these since the start of this thread and bought some dips along the way.

Sold out of GVXXF today for no specific reason other than needing to take some plays off the table. Crazy gains lately and don't want to get too greedy. Guess anyone could have closed their eyes and thrown a dart at any U play a month ago with similar results.

That's awesome! Nice portfolio. Both UUUU and GLATF are two of my favorites. They'll both get into production this cycle. Goviex is another that could get into production. It's not as close as others, but it's location in Africa makes it possible due to less restrictions.

I think Standard Uranium will release results in the next week. I sent them an email a couple of weeks ago asking them about the report and they said it would be out in a couple of weeks. Any day now!

I'm extremely bullish if they hit and have a high grade discovery with the sentiment right now.

Glad you made some profits!

At face value today was a down day but spot price crossed over $50. URA and URNM also have more money flowing into their funds. The financial push is going to be upward as long as this happens. Barring a big market meltdown things are going to continue to improve

I am just doing nothing

I bought in a few months back with the intention of holding for years and taking profits if something escalated stupidly

I’m in for the long haul, but hope to add on down days.

The math is the math on the uranium supply & demand. Plus found this today trying to understand the drop.

The Hill - National Uranium Stockpile

Tl;dr - Biden admin suggesting a stockpile in the name of global warming (money had already been appropriated under Trump to create one) and 6 democrats are opposing it. My take from it is discussion is bubbling up more and we’ll eventually do it. We’ll see

Would today be a good day to start a position? I’m looking for an entry point but I feel like I missed the boat as a lot of these stocks are still up big on the month..

So the general consensus that uranium is a long term play. What’s the time line or exit point people are looking at though? I’m up double or more on my stocks in this area which is usually where I take some profits.
