A5 wagyu wasn’t as good as the a4 wagyu at Vic and Anthony’s in Houston. Pretty disappointing when you consider the price.

I actually prefer a4 to a5 as there’s not quite as much fat. A5 is more of a delicacy where you only eat a bite or 2 due to the insane amount of marbling, whereas a4 is slightly more of a traditional “steak eating” experience.

I second this. I ate there and the Golden Steer in March. Gordon Ramsey's food was far superior, but the old Vegas ambiance in the Golden Steer was pretty cool too.

I have eaten at a few, certainly not all or even most, but my favorite is Cut at the Venetian

Same.

Steak House in Circus Circus is actually legit as well.

However, if you go to Cut (or other similar places) you can easily drop 5 or 6 bills on dinner for two without even thinking about it.

My bill at Jean georges was over 600. Just the a5 wagyu was 185. Then we each got a regular filet, 1 side each, a single dessert shared, and 1 wine or cocktail each.

I ate at delmonica the day before and it was around 300 but was just 2 filets with a side each and 1 appetizer, nothing else. Delmonica was just as good in my opinion.

It's a little off strip, but I love Herbs and Rye. It's got an old school, speakeasy vibe.

the Golden Steer

Can't believe this didn't get mentioned until the second page. Easily my favorite place in LV and I have eaten at all the big ones. Kind of cool when you sit at a table and there are photos of members of the Rat Pack, Elvis, etc sitting at the same table years earlier.

Bazaar Meats is totally incredible in every way, but not a "traditional steakhouse" in the sense you're thinking. Still, amazing. That is where I would go, easily.

My pick as well

Hard to say. There are dozens of high caliber steak houses there.

I've had a very enjoyable meal at Delmonico's.
I also had an outstanding bone-in prime strip at Del Frisco's that was one of the best meals I've ever had.

Disclaimer - I like Fleur de Lis pizza. That may or may not discount the value of my opinion on food.

I have traveled all over the US wining and dining clients at all of the top steakhouses in many major cities and the best steakhouse I ever ate at was Gordon Ramsey’s in the Paris in Vegas.

I'm going to be in Vegas in a few weeks eating at Gordon Ramsey's- I am a Filet man but have never tried the Rib Cap. I have heard about that cut but am worried it would be too fatty for my taste. I know on a Ribeye the cap part is juicy but also very fatty.

The del friscos in nyc might be my favorite steakhouse in the country.

This. I've never had a bad meal there, and the service is on point.
