Just looked up a guide for this, and it says that the LE threshold for perfect ending is higher now (7800 military strength).

Making good progress through ME2.

Getting the last person for the 1st half.

The game improves on so much from the 1st, but comes up short on a few things.

The “end mission” design makes it seem like less of an RPG.

I also wish they would have kept overheating, rather than “ammo”.

The only other things that bother me still are how I can’t switch my weapons with L1 anymore and how the only way to view the map is by holding L1 or R1.

I shouldn’t have to essentially “pause” the game to see where the enemies are.

Just got through IFF on Hardcore. Had a very satisfying moment...

I wanted to see Grunt take on waves of Husks by himself with only range support from Jack & I (I am a Vanguard). I planted Grunt in the middle of room by himself while we stayed on the other side of the room at a distance. The only time I moved closer was at the beginning to activate the Husks. I micromanaged to make sure Grunt stayed on Fortify while Jack & I just spammed Shockwave in the direction of the fight. Watching Grunt yell "I am Krogan" while lowering his head and charging large groups of Husks and seeing them fly off of him like bowling pins was hilarious. Dodging the Scion wave that was coming towards me from across the room was the most difficult part of the fight as Grunt handled his business without ever falling. Once the Husks were taken care of, the three of us took down the Scion in all of 5 seconds.

I tried this same strategy again on the next battle but it didnt work as effectively. The next fights had two Scions and their waves that they shot at me were crossing the middle of the battlefield, so Grunt kept being hit by them and he wouldnt last long. I had to resort back to charging the Scions myself for that one.

Fun battles.

Holding square changes weapons, stumbled upon that accidentally.

Did not know that about the map either - the Map on the pause screen seems always grayed out in combat scenarios - wasn't sure if that by design or not.

IDK it's so hard to allow for custom controls in games, but that's another topic lol.

Finished ME2 last night. Completely forgot about advanced training and the bonus power that unlocks as you complete loyalty missions. Realized after beating the game that it never unlocked for me. Went look at my achievements and only a handful of achievements were awarded to me. None of the loyalty missions achievements were unlocked. Apparently it’s a pretty big widespread bug. Just an FYI in case anyone has the same issue. Playing on Series X.

I finished ME2 yesterday, started ME3. God I love this trilogy.

I forgot how short the games actually can be. I did all of the loyalty missions for all of the characters, plus a lot of side missions (like the firewalker missions) and I am about 50 hours in on ME1 + ME2.

I’m on NE2 and just finished the collector ship mission.

I’m doing as many, if not all, side missions. I did every side mission in the original ME1, including the minerals, medals, and matriarch writing ones, maxed out my level, and it still ended up being ~30 hours of gameplay.

Headed for the IFF. Beginning of the end. Always makes me sad to start what I know is the final push in a game…

I just finished ME1. 100%'d that bitch. Pure renegade adept. It's hard to be so maniacal throughout the game.

Also, I imported a level 55 character with max credits into ME2 and it only gave me 146,000 credits?

Someone posted the algorithm they use. It isn’t just the amount you finished with.

It combines level with amount and some element of completion.

I ended up with 660,000, but I literally did everything, including the collection quests.

I don’t like leaving things undone.

I’m going to 100% the entire map on ME2.

Im enjoying ME3. The flexibility of chosing whatever combo of weapons you want with your powers is nice, and they did a great job of adding a little life to your crew in the Normandy with touches like Liara checking in on Garrus when you walk into her office. I think it'll take me a little longer to cruise through ME3.

As Scruffy said, there's more to it than just your credit count, but your confusion seems to be stemming from a nerf in the import cap. In the OG trilogy, you could transfer 10% of your credits to a max of $100k. That max was bumped to $1M in LE. Then a few weeks ago, it was nerfed back down to $100k.

So you got your 10%, capped at $100k, plus some bonuses for level and resources.

Make sure you walk the *entire* ship after each mission and talk to everyone you can click on. Not everyone will have something to say after every mission, but there will always be someone who has something to say after every mission, even if it's just Joker (who has some of the best lines, anyway). But to be clear, I mean walk the entire ship, literally. There are places in the ship where no one is in ME3 (where Jack was in ME2, the port observation decks, etc) that will populate with some of the best little character moments at seemingly random times.

Otherwise, you might never learn about emergency induction ports...

And now that I've gotten a little further:

Walk the *entire* citadel when you make trips back. And you should make frequent trips back. Stop when you hear people talking. Click on anyone with an icon. Talk to your crew members until you exhaust their dialogue to the point they repeat.

It's a chore, but there's a lot of good shite on the citadel in 3.

I've been doing that on both the Normandy and citadel. They really put a lot of effort into bringing the world alive.

Pretty much finished up with everything in ME2.

Going to make one more stop at the cities, make sure I’ve completed everything in my journal, 100% the galaxy, and then head to the derelict reaper.

All companions are loyal.

I’ve upgraded everything to almost full, if not full.

I’ve done all the DLC.

Got to do that so I can save everyone in the final mission.

LotSB is arguable, but why would Scruffy play Arrival before the SM?

Meh.

It still worked.

When I complete the game, I want to jump right into ME3.

Gonna still need to do a NG+ to get the insanity achievement.

I mean, it works, but it’s weird

I always do Firewalker and Overlord before and Arrival after. When I do LotSB is based on mood.

Platinumed ME1 and ME2 now.

Just started 3.

Nothing kills me more than unskippable cutscenes.

And every fricking cutscene is unskippable!
