Forgot this ever happened. No wonder I had blocked it from memory.

The fly episode in Breaking Bad.
Yeah I know, it had underlying meaning and all that symbolism crap, but for a show that intense… Having to wait week by week for a new episode made that one disappointing at the end.

The Office when Pam and Jim are having issues while Jim tries to get his business going in Philly and the cameraman starts comforting Pam and being her sort of confidant.

Also Andy becoming manager too (which trickles into Andy/Erin anyway).

That's a good one. I'll add Shioban in 'Mare of easttown.' She was a useless character

When Tyra and Landry killed that guy in Season 2 of Friday Night Lights.

Season 3 of Star Trek had a couple candidates;
Spock's Brain
The Way to Eden
Both were pretty silly

I dont know if anybody here watches or know of the CW show, All-American. But I was a big fan of the show originally. High school football, as well as some interesting gang violence storylines, as well as promoting the need for fathers.
Then this season its drifted completely away from football, and went 100 mph into BLM stuff. Now its a terrible show.

ETA: Sorry...Darrel Crowe Jr and the whole Crowe storyline from Justified.
Blame falls fully on the actor. Hell, the Justified people made the fat guy from Yes Dear into a decent bad guy.

The whole "Bad reporter/fake serial killer" in The Wire, Season 5 is the gold standard here, is it not?

Blacklist- She kills the attorney general and is place on the most wanted list, but manages to keep her job in the FBI while no one in country recognizes her.

It wasn’t a great storyline by any means but I didn’t think it was terrible either. Just kind of meh in the context of arguably one of the greatest series ever and at the end of the run when there was way more interesting shite being tied up, too

Back to the more broad topic of TOS - Season 3 - Spock's Brain is pretty poorly received, overall, although there were some decent Spock/McCoy banter moments. The plot was just irrecoverable. Nothing could have saved it.
The season was hampered by restricted budgets (compared to Seasons 1 and 2 - and consistently solid or better those first 2 seasons with few misses - Catspaw probably the worst of the 1st 2 seasons and it wasn't awful, particularly the guest star delivered an outstanding performance in a silly Halloween episode).
Season 3 - despite the budget woes, decreased Roddenberry participation, loss of Gene Coon midway through Season 2, etc., had some real gems - All Our Yesterdays, Day of the Dove, Spectre of the Gun, The Cloud Minders, Plato's Stepchildren, The Enterprise Incident, Elaan of Troyius, etc.
However, without question it had more than its fair share of bad episodes: Bad = Spock's Brain, And the Children Shall Lead Them, and Turnabout Intruder - probably 3 of the 4 worst (along with Catspaw from Season 2).

Not a drama, but a comedy...Frasier. The story arc with Roz and Bulldog was just all sorts of wrong. I skip over those.
They really messed up getting rid of Bulldog so early. He was the best foil to Frasier at the station.
