Stingley is too valuable to be a punt returner.

Why in the hell does O keep putting the kid back there? LSU has all these quick twitch stud receivers who can handle punt return duties.

But he's not too valuable to play WR like the board demanded he do the entire off-season?

Besides that, Stingley isn't a good punt returner.

Punt returns are important. NFL and college coaches typically put great players back to receive punts and kickoffs. Fans typically do not understand the importance of special teams play.

I’m pretty sure he asked to return punts and play offense

How many has he returned in two years. He fair catches 95% of the time.
I know we need a reliable person catching punts. Not everyone is capable.

I want to see Boutte returning punts. I think he would be a better option than Stingly or Palmer. He has more elusiveness after a catch.

Agreed. And he never actually flat out runs. Palmer was not dressed for the game, but he and Boutte would be good candidates.

I wonder why when he went out Koy Moore took punts. Was Palmer hurt/COVID or suspended? I didn't see him yesterday.

He is a smooth athlete; this is silly.

Exactly. And it’s not like he’s Deion back there anyway. If he were an exceptional PR we would’ve seen it by now. He’s just solid at best

Get him out of there. Not worth it

This is either bc punters aren't giving him a shot or bc our punt block team is shite which is very likely considering who the ST coach is

What happened to Palmer? He was doing a good job. Don't get where Stingray is to valuable. He's a disappointment this year. Not playing with heart.

I don't think people give this enough credit. They are kicking it for air time to avoid his returns. And when they see him lined up short, they kick it long to force him backwards and ruin any shot a good running start. It's not hard to neutralize a good punt returner if you have a half decent punter.

Just like Peterson and Mathieu were. Y'all complain about everything.

It's not like Jaylen Waddle got hurt playing his normal position or anything.

Stingley is very smooth and clearly wants to help make an impact on the game like all great players do. It's funny that all of his injuries have come playing CB.

However, I do agree that I would rather see Palmer, Kirklin, or Alex Adams back there.

Stingley has not shown anything close to being like PP7 or TM7 on punt returns. Everytime the kid returns a punt I hold my breath fearing an injury.
