We had 10 kids and ended up with 12 deer. The boys edged out the girls 7-5, but only because we had two more boys than girls. We accomplished the 12 deer with only 14 shots fired, which is pretty amazing.

Kids are the key to the future of our sport. Take a kid hunting or fishing!

Well. Pics didn't load. I've done this successfully before. Not sure what went wrong this time....

Ok I see the problem. I'm supposed to use Copy URL instead of Copy Link.

SW Mississippi not far from the River. I would say that in general we saw a decent number of deer, but probably below expectations considering the fantastic weather.

One interesting observation: yesterday evening I had a train of 7 mature does in one group come into our food plot. Not a single fawn with them. I've been deer hunting for 40 years. I have never seen more than about 3 mature does together without a fawn. The flood this year obviously took its toll on the fawn crop. We may lay off the doe killing this season. It was a very unusual sight to see.

That's great,

Sounds like some really good shooting. I have so much more fun and get twice as nervous before the shot while hunting with kids.

It's nice to see adults put so much work and effort into making sure the kids get these opportunities.

Good job No Colors

That's very strange. Never seen that either.

My boys were talking about the number of does with twins we've seen already. It's an abnormal year, for sure

I act like a Youth sometimes. You have any open weekends this season?

Great job to everyone. Love to see that passion being instilled so young.
