I up the user pass blocking and the coverage to 60 and drop the CPU pass blocking to 45 and the int to either 30 or 25 - pretty sure it’s the former.
I wouldn’t really worry about your sacks too much as long as you aren’t giving up a lot of passing yards. Kyler Murray attempted like 35 passes against me and only had 5 or so incompletions but didn’t reach 150 passing yards because I was pressuring him into quick short throws that I kept in front of me.
Also, mix up your pressures.

I created a defensive end that is 99 everything and it’s still hard to get more than two sacks in a game and one of those is when the QB drops back 25 yards.

You’ve got to spy Lamar Jackson with a fast DB too. He can out run a LB spy to the sideline.

Also, Mahommes can just drop back, scramble outside of the pocket and by that time tyrek Hill is behind Zone coverage or past man coverage and Mahommes has no trouble throwing it 75-80 yards

This game needs a patch. I’m seeing so much of the wheel route verts because the DB doesn’t play his assignment and when that wheel comes up, the DB runs into the flat.
Also there needs to be a better way to combat RPOs. I’m someone who has abused the RPO game myself but after awhile it gets old.
Blockshed is non existent. My defenders will not disengage when they have outside leverage and the ball carrier runs by. The meta right now is to bounce everything out because of it.
ETA: the game just feels like opponents are trying to out exploit eachother currently.

I think the AI for linebackers is terrible. They seem to bite on every play action and let easy picks sail right over their head.

What play style are y’all using? What level of gameplay?

You’re prob cheesing the CPU. Whether it’s online or offline, cheese exists. Madden is so dull offline but to each their own

It was sorta fixed with M18. No more ballhawking perfectly and made it timing based (unlike M17) then M19 came and LBs could pick off the inside seams without trailing the WR.
This year is actually really good. Pay attention to your opponent’s tendencies. There isn’t a universal coverage like every madden prior. Man coverage has its problems. Zone has its problems. It’s fun.

It's typical EA Fools Gold. Looks great but when you get into it, it's a piece of shite.
Do EA access or Premier and play with LSU, get drafted, win the super bowl and delete the game.
That's the highlight of the game. Playing competitive online is the same nonsense abuse of mechanics with no regard to real football strategy.

i bought it. i haven't bought one since '18. i mostly play face of the franchise though. the only thing i can't stand is the RB play of my team and the volleyball-esque type drops that turn into interceptions. i turned the cpu/int slider all the way down to 0 i think.

I got EA Premier just to try this years Madden and FIFA.
Face of the franchise was fun. But once you win the super bowl then what. Gets old quick. BTW, RB is useless in that game mode.
I haven't played in years but know what I'm doing. Played some H2H games. Was ranked in the top 200 for a while, then EA does it's magic. First down receptions fumbled for a 6 the other way and other nonsense like my QB throwing 30 deg off. LOL. EA trying to get that 50% win.
Then you come up against pros with all the mechanics abuse tricks. Call the proper defense doesn't matter. I truly hate EA. Fools Gold. Looks great, plays like shite. Same reason I quit FIFA years ago.

Has anyone been able to defend against the BS kickoffs that end up sitting on the 1 yard line? It ends up in being a safety nearly every time.
The return man never runs to the ball then he sprints to pick it up and runs into the endzone. Starting to get frustrating. One team was able to kick it perfectly on every kick off last night.
