Keto tips (update)

I quit drinking and started on a keto diet at the end of April. I had also started working out and running/cycling again. This mix has led me to lose 14 lbs as of this morning. I've been having a "cheat day" every two weeks or so. Just curious if there is any kind of supplementation I should be doing?
I have been eating a ton of leafy greens and veggies in addition to nuts, fatty meats, wild game, cheese, etc. I haven't been trying to restrict my calories. I also drink anywhere from a gallon to one and a half gallons of water a day. I feel great and the carb cravings are finally becoming less intense. Had my yearly bloodwork done earlier this week and the doc said all was normal.

Rebel Ice Cream is the only supplement you need.

Stop having cheat days. It’s more than likely knocking you out if ketosis. You spend the next 2 weeks trying to get back into it.

It takes me about 2 or 3 days to get back in according to the crappy lil test strips.

Biggest thing/tip that helped me break out was:
"If weight loss is your goal, fat is to satiate. Unless you’re hungry you do not have to add fat to your meals. You can because it’s delicious, but you do not ever need to hit your fat macro if you are trying to lose weight."
I got so wrapped up in hitting "X" number of fat grams I was working against myself, though everything tasted even better with more fat!!

I haven't really been adding fat to my cooking, just deducting carbs. I haven't been that caught up on the macros. I've made fat bombs to help with cravings and they work well. I'm starting to really enjoy eating like this. I had two fried eggs, collard greens, and bacon for dinner last night. No complaints there. Thannks!

Never having a cheat day isn’t sustainable.
Part of life is enjoying it, not just staying in ketosis.
People that do keto need to be realistic.

“Bro, if you want to be in shape .... just lift and do sprints EVERY DAY .... no cheat days. You want to be fit don’t you? Only eat eggs for breakfast and chicken breast for dinner.”

Here's the bomb for sweets cravings. Lindt 95% Cocoa. Delicious with three net carbs per four squares.

I’m doing it as well for about the same time. I started doing IMF with it about a month ago and it’s made a difference. I eat lunch and dinner in about six hour period and nothing else.
Also, Corona Premiere.

I'll probably die from a heart attack but I started recently as well. Lots of meat so far and keeping my carbs under 27g a day. That's apparently the hardest part when I mix in nuts and stuff.
I jog and cut out beer and switched to whiskey and a glass of wine here and now.

That's so funny...I had the exact opposite issue!
I hit a plateau until I started hitting my macros daily. Steady .5-1 lb. loss every day for the past week so far which is about as much as I could hope for.

I'm a week into it and down 8 pounds. Essentially I'm only eating meat....
Breakfast today was coffee black, 4 strips of bacon, 2 slices of ham.
Lunch was 2 scoops of a protein shake, 4 pieces of turkey sausage, and cheese slices
Dinner was extra lean ground beef burgers without a bun
Snacked on pecans, peanut butter, and almonds today

That sounds like the atkins diet.
If you want to drink wine on Keto stick to dry merlot's. They contain less sugar.

Started the keto thing on April 28th weighing 179.5 lbs. This morning I weighed 159.8. I haven't been super strict with the keto, every 2 weeks or so I'll drink a bunch of beer and eat a whole pizza. It has been pretty easy so far. I've been running/cycling a good bit in addition to some hiking. I haven't been lifting like I should. I can eat about 40 grams of carbs every now and then while I'm in ketosis without making my weight spike a lot.

Agreed. There is a point in starting out though to get the shite out of their system. Could take a year for some people. Enjoying life as a depressed addict is not a good way to live either.
I guess what I'm saying is, people need to know how much better they'd feel without the junk food, cupcakes, ice cream, crap party food. Then, the craving for junk drops. When they end up eating that food again, it just makes them sick....because it is junk.

I feel like crap when I eat junk all the time and I feel like crap when I never eat junk. I think I've found a pretty good balance. I'll pig out every couple of weeks on all the things I was craving while eating pretty clean. It helps me psychologically and seems to make it easier for me to stick to a diet long term.
