He just said that Ja Morant is doing a disservice to the AA community coming up by being apart of the gun/gang culture.

Said 70% of NBA is AA, and his sons wear Ja Morant shoes so these young guys are looking up to him. Can’t allow him to act like this.

This is the only way the AA culture problem will change is if other AA hold them accountable.

This is obviously true.

A problem in any community is looking up to athletes for anything other than their on-court (or field) performance. They shouldn't be role models for your kids.

With ESPN who knows if the comments are genuine or read from script.

Well, Perkins can't read, so I think that mystery is settled.

I didn’t realize he is a part of the Alcoholic’s Anonymous community. Yeah, guns and alcohol don’t mix

I do agree with this. Parents should be monitoring what their children are looking at. Obviously Ja’s Twitter shouldn’t be observed by children.

With that being said, if you posted that shite on your Twitter you’d probably be fired from your job or at least talked to and disciplined somehow.

Sounds like he needs to be a better dad so they can make better decisions.

It's up to the NBA to get it right. That means punishment that's strong enough that it sends a message to Ja Morant's grandkids.

It would be a long, difficult road to break that cycle. When news hit that Ja had scrubbed his “best friend” from his social media, black guys on Twitter were furious about it. They absolutely hate seeing a black person get away from that.

I don't think the AA community at-large is impacted much by any of this, but good on Perk to bring race back into every discussion possible no matter what to drive eyeballs and clicks.

Did somebody threaten KP’s job or something? Why is he talking like this?

Weeks ago he was screaming racial for the MVP votes re: Jokic…now this?

Perkins also said I have 1 foot in the grave and 1 foot on a banana peel! Pretty funny

I hate this line of thinking. When did Ja ask to be a mentor?

Doesn’t matter, they’ll just get referred to as Uncle Tom.
