Good now we can concentrate on who's coming here

Agreed. As others have said, I like the idea of a fresh start with a majority new staff

Go get Lebby and roll with Daronte is my vote. Not that it matters.

Wasn't going to happen any way. I'm almost wanting to say let Daronte run it if Kelly Wants him there. I think we got a taste of what Daronte can do at the end of the season. One of the best defensive squads in college with a makeshift D every week. I think he's earned another year.

Really reactionary hire. Would be similar to us promoting Daronte Jones after firing Orgeron. Seems designed to salvage one or two recruiting classes more than longevity

Wow, that’s a freaking high risk hire if I’ve ever seen one
Posted on 12/1/21 at 7:28 pm to geauxtigs18
Risky. But whatever
Makes sense why Rees is staying

I agree with Daronte. Totally down to keep him IF Kelly wants to keep him on staff

Yep. I think they're really expecting to get into the CFP and want to keep the entire staff together.

Mike Archer after Bill Arnsparger. Players marched to a BOS meeting demanding ole Mike. That didn’t work out so well.

I'm sure it won't take more than a short meeting with Daronte for Kelly to figure out he doesn't know you can make adjustments at halftime.

That's a brutal job for a first time head coach. Good luck to the young man.

Yeah I get the sense it’s the players really pushing this

As stated in those tweets, ND is in a good position. All Freeman has to do is maintain it like Lincoln Riley maintained Oklahoma.

Notre Dame continuing with their tradition of paying coaches low salaries.

I thought the ND AD said they weren't in any rush and had not even come up with a list of potential candidates. I guess half of that statement was true.
