Dude UF locked up Napier in like 3 days and even UF fans are saying he got about $6M/year. He didn't leverage shite that was what I said LSU should pay him, max. It's a mid-level SEC contract which is what you expect a school like UF to pay an unproven coach like Napier.

Well, understand how they feel.
A rash of car smash burglaries happened in my neighborhood a few years ago. Neighbors on both sides of me got their car windows broken out and some stuff taken. Mine was skipped.
I was happy. But, kind of insulted. “What? My shite ain’t good enough for you to steal?”

They have legitimately convinced themselves that LSU desperately wanted napier but he "played us" as leverage to get a bigger deal out of florida, because LSU is such a bad program. They have similarly convinced themselves that Brian Kelly was desperately calling Florida's AD trying to get an offer, but that Florida turned him down in favor of Napier.
This is the absurdness of why a lot of Cajun fans don't like LSU.
This idea that I would be mad because LSU didn't want my coach over the fact that he's gone is delusional in itself. It's upsetting that he's gone, but if LSU didn't want him, then LSU didn't want him. No one really knows what happened behind closed doors. Heck, Florida might've preferred Napier over Kelly. We don't know that. But who cares?!?!? LSU got a great hire themselves with the guy. And Florida got who they wanted. Everybody wins here.

The hate for LSU by ULLLL fans started way before the 80's. I grew up in Lafayette & was a big supporter of both schools, ULLL in basketball in particular when Shipley was in his glory years. But the real shite hit the fan, for ULLL fans, when they tried to get the Legislature to designate them as the major educational player in IT, specifically as the computer educational leader in the State. LSU got the designation, i.e. the money, instead, pure La.politics at work, for better or worse. The hate hit full bloom and I and many other LSU fans were almost forced to choose one or the other. There is good reason for bama clothing to be so popular in Lafayette over the years. The percentage may be smaller, but the hate is still very much still there.

The funny part about this is that I know for an absolute fact from IT recruiters that NLU (ULM) is viewed as a better target for IT talent than ULL. Guess they should be the ones mad at LSU.
