My second daughter goes there. I grew up in Lafayette and will be moving back in May.

They are insanely jealous of LSU. If anyone knows a small barky, bark dog that acts tough but no one takes it seriously. That is ULL. They can't be happy for LSU no matter what.

It blows my daughter's mind that we support and cheer for ULL with no reservations. My daughter says... "We are the La rival for LSU". My response... "No, you are not".

This is just confusing. I won't pretend that it's fair that programs like USL get raided for coaches constantly, but there's no way that they thought Billy Napier would actually still be their coach in 2022 right? Him making it to 2021 in the first place was a minor miracle.

USL fans desperately wanted LSU to hire their coach. So much so they are now creating made up scenarios.

LSU didn’t give Napier the time of day, yet he leveraged LSU into more money and control at Florida. Ok couyon.

This person is not unlike a fair amount of LSU fans on this board that have zero idea how this process works in big boy football.

This isn't a fantasy football draft that we had with our padnahs at BWW where we held the 3rd pick in the first round.

USC had Riley locked down a month ago. LSU had Kelly locked in by the end of October. The agents and ADs coordinate all of the media firestorm(s), and frankly, it's awesome to see so many lap it up.

And, the big name journalists all know how the process works, as well--they've been around for years and have been through a ton of these. When they tweet out/write articles/whatever to float out the rumor du jour--they are doing that for clicks/to sell papers/whatever because they know the vast majority eat that sh!t up hook, line and sinker. Remember: there job is to attract eyeballs, not be right all the time.

Kudos to Woodward for scrambling to secure Kelly in less than 24 hours, I guess.
