I don’t get the love fest for one and hate for the other.

Far superior offenses and probably far superior appeal as a recruiter at LSU.

Never have to worry about the QB position. Would be nice.

Kelly is the more accomplished coach, he's just older.

Kelly is a great coach and I would be happy for him to coach here. The talent would be better then ND due to less stringent academic requirements. He would do very well here. Some people just do not really understand football apparently on this site.

No, I don’t. What has Riley accomplished as a head coach that Kelly has not?

Riley is young, probably "hip" to high school kids, probably wears very tight jeans and sunglasses.

Riley was a splash, show off hire but if you look at the outcomes, he hasn’t done what Kelly has which is build programs and take them to their natural ceilings. It’s a 5-6 year gig anyway so I don’t think age matters.

Notre Dame recruiting class was ranked higher than OU's last season and is currently, again, ranked higher than OU based upon commitments. And that is at a school that has restrictions on the type of student the football coach can enroll vs. a school that for years had one of the lowest academic requirements for football players.
