He built the program that Aranda is profiting from.

He went to a Sugar Bowl with Baylor after draconian sanctions were placed on the program.

Built Temple into a power.

Rebuilt Baylor coming off of their scandal into a power.

Baw can coach.

Rebuilt to dead programs not known for football.

Executive experience on both sides of the ball. Literally has coached multiple positions on offense and defense been a special teams coach and OC.

Has NFL experience as a head coach.

Basically has done what Napier has twice but one of the schools was in a real conference.

He's in a group of coaches that I think would do well here, but just like Riley I don't understand why some are as enamored with him as they are.

Anyone that can put together back-to-back double-digit win seasons at Temple has to know what he's doing. Then he revived Baylor from being pretty much dead following their scandal. Dude knows how to coach. He has been my #1 guy all along but I just don't know how realistic it is.

I don't think Rhule is a bad choice by any means but I'm not sure he's worth a megadeal. He screams high floor but I'm not sure if he can get over the hump regularly. It's the same issues with all of these "program builder" guys, but he's the best of the bunch (Stoops, Campbell, Napier).

If you’re winning 9-10 games at places like Temple and Baylor you are a ridiculously good coach. What terrifies me the most is that there are people as dumb as you walking around this world.

Ummm…

He made Temple respectable then made Baylor respectable after their sanctions.

Proven twice he can build and sustain.

Rhule could very well be a Saban at a place like LSU. His performance at Temple and Baylor makes him a top tier college coach by any objective standard.

The problem with Rhule is twofold. First, logistics. How are you going to get him out of Carolina when his season isn't over until Jan. 9 and he's still very much in the playoff chase?

And second, he's in the 2nd year of a 7-year, $63 million contract. Unless he's really unhappy there, something there isn't really evidence of, I don't know how you're going to be able to move him.

If you're looking at an NFL coach, the most obvious name is Doug Pederson, who's available now. Beyond him you're looking at coordinators, and starting with coordinators who have coached in college and preferably have also been head coaches.

It would be easier if you explained why you don't want him. I'm sure it's NFL record and I can explain to you why that's dumb.
