Anybody else agree TSA is useless?

Couple weeks ago I accidentally purchased a flight for my wife with her maiden name since it was saved in my app that way.
The name on the ticket didn’t match her DL and passport.
She was super worried about TSA, they never even looked at her ticket to match a name, she even nervously looked back and said ‘you don’t need to see a ticket’ and they said ‘naaaa you’s Gud gurl’

Next time spend the extra money and get a business class ticket and move on up.

The TSA isn’t useless-it gets the average American used to invasive checks and fosters a culture of fear. It doesn’t actually increase security though.

My favorite part is when they throw my water bottle into a rubbermaid trashcan right next to everyone. If it were some dangerous explosive you'd think they would show a little more caution.
