One of the historic games in LSU history. I may have watched this live on TV as a 6 year old. Bert Jones and Andy Hamilton on offense, Tommy Casanova and Ronnie Estay on defense. Radio broadcast audio with John Ferguson matched with the network TV video. First time I've seen this.

50 years ago last Saturday. LSU's second prime time game at home, becoming the first team to play twice in prime time in one season.

I was there (and had been at South Bend the year before). The crowd was electric that night - most stood and cheered the entire game.

I wasn’t even born yet and I prefer this to modern CFB

They ran right at Walt Patulski all night.

Back when TS was real and authentic.
Didn't need anything but LSU fans and TGBFTL for noise!
All those cute 70's girls and their giant monster "hedges."

Props for posting. Several Tiger greats on the field:
Bert Jones
Ronnie Estay
Tommy Casanova
Art Cantrelle
Field looks beautiful. Fans rushed it afterwards.
This was a big game because of the opponent. But we had already lost 3 games by then:
- Colorado
- Ole Miss
- Bana
TS still brought its A-game!

I was there, probably the best atmosphere I have ever seen in Tiger Stadium. When they ran out the tunnel, and all the fans let their balloons go you knew there was no way ND would win.

One of the best games I have seen in Tiger Stadium. South end zone seats and got to witness impressive goal line stands. Estay was a favorite player of mine. Casanova was an animal that night. Oh and cousins Bert and Andy put on a show!

I try to watch and listen to this game at least once a year just so I could never forget John Ferguson's voice.

Ronnie Estay is still one of the greatest DTs ever at LSU
