If Riley is a done deal etc…

Why havent there been leaks of OU coach search… dont you think if they knew, they would start kicking tires?
This is what makes me a little suspect of all the Riley is coming stuff
Otherwise we could see him sign an extension last minute and leave LSU at the alter
SW better have a strong backup coach lined up waiting to say yes and sign in time for signing day

I agree, but the other possibility is that they'd be promoting from within so there is no need for a search.

Nothing is official until it's official, it's possible that OU is already gauging possible coaches if they think Riley is going to leave

If they were still trying to get him to stay, I’d think they’d leak it out for the pressure to be applied by fans, players, etc.
No leaks means he’s told them he’s not leaving for sure, or he’s leaving for sure. My guess would be he’s leaving for sure and they don’t want the distraction for the chance to make a CFP run.

Let’s say it is Riley and it will be announced on 11/28 after Bedlam, the OU AD doesn’t have to start seriously looking right now.
He could at this time be “casually” kicking tires by reaching out to agents under the auspices of just covering his bases given the racket of Riley/LSU rumors.
No agent is going to leak that; it would be detrimental to their reputation and their clients.

He is undoubtedly asking for a raise and probably more for his assistants, etc...
