What is keeping the stock market up?

I know it had a little downturn this week, but generally speaking has been doing decent. Is this just a matter of money being printed and artificially put into the economy?
What would cause the market to downturn? I have heard about oncoming stagflation, but it seems the fed can offset this by keep printing.

Lots of $$$$ being poured into the economy by the Fed and Spending Bills.

Earnings are great. People are making money and spending money. Fantastic economy until Covid and then it went into went into full blown recovery. Stocks are the only way to outpace inflation. Hard to see why it wouldn’t be a good market. Low interest rates have made it very easy to finance growth.

The algorithm.
It will do whatever it takes to keep the numbers up.
Everything from boosting the right stories through social media or pumping in the most favorable fake news it can.
We know how powerful public manipulation is these days. It can decide presidents; it can move markets; it can jail the innocent; it can make criminals into heroes; and the facts don't matter.

Shouldn't we expect the FED to raise rates as inflation skyrockets? What is causing them to keep rates low?

FYI, Folks with large cash positions are likely to see a buying opportunity subsequent to a 3-5% pullback at some point in the next few weeks.

The Fed can’t afford the interest payments on the massive debt. Rates rise their probability of default increases.

You right....we are due again.
Historically these types of pullbacks occur 3-4xs per year. Last one was in Sept and before that Oct 2020. Use it to buy more

Because theyre kicking the can as far down the road as possible. Low rates are the only thing propping it all up. Rate hikes will bring it all down

Won't happen on the Dem watch; that is the one thing we can be sure of. Will be interesting and fun to see how Mitch squirms and handles the upcoming Debt Limit fiasco. Of course, he'll fold at the last minute...always does. The MSM will make sure of that, pinning 'collapse' on the selfish Republicans.

It's all bullshite. You basically have a a shell game and slight of hand. Think stock buy backs and institutional trading.

The fed doesn’t want to make Biden look bad, just like they didn’t want to make Trump look good.
