I’m really glad you’re not An AD.

Our AD isn't myopic or emotionally driven. He makes hires based on a body of work.

Riley is 54-9 with 3 CFP appearances, has top 10 offenses, 5 star QBs and develops them into Heisman finalists. He's done this over many years.

That's what the hire would be based on. Not a single data point of a head to head match up.

If we're hiring based on single data points, then we might as well hire Jimbo. He beat Saban a few weeks ago, so he must be superior.

With that said, if the Riley deal falls through, I absolutely want Aranda and no one else.

Everything has been coming from outside of LSU on this.

so if Scott saw Aranda lose to TCU last week then that should have disqualified him as well?

Sounds like they can’t sign certain players. Like LSU went through during the miles years with QB’s. Plus isn’t this tradition. Once your coach is hired away he suddenly sucks?? Back of the ledge bro

Baylor talent is lot closer to TCU than OU. OU is 5 (composite) and Baylor is 41

While I have no idea what was offered, OU would almost definitely not come anywhere in the neighborhood of $12m/year. Not to be a buzzkill, but I just don't think we offered $12m/year. We're probably in the $10m/year range and OU is in the $8-9m/year range...so Lincoln is sweating bullets.

I could see Oklahoma becoming another Tennessee once they start playing SEC ball. Both have to go elsewhere for talent and they’ll actually have to complete with the big boys besides a Texas while doing so.

Maybe Riley sees the writing on the wall.

Your team is usually the last to know if someone is leaving. People typically rely on past comments/discussions which are outdated, and may also be being told what they want to hear.

Yeah LSU should have passed on Saban after beating him in the '95 Independence Bowl.

Clemson is 4th on that ranking and yet they lost to NC State (35) and Pitt (36)

Would you turn down Dabo?

No reason we shouldn't be in the 12 mil range after the 2016 debacle. We are desperate for a HR hire and that is not a bad thing as long as we back it up with $.

Is he? He hasn’t looked great this year. Yes he’s a freshman, but wasn’t Spencer Rattler the next “sure fire Heisman winner” after last year? Now look at him.

Nothing is guaranteed except death.
