This is the thread for submitting your pies. It’s not too late to dream up and execute a dish!

Please include at least one pic and a description of your entry. More pics and detailed recipes are also welcomed.

Entries will be accepted until five minutes before voting starts tomorrow at 9:00 am. (I need time to include late entries in the voting.)

Good luck to all participants!

Not sure we’re going to get many submissions today. Mine won’t be in until late in the day or early evening.

I got nothing, too much going on If I had time I was going to do a shrimp n merliton pie either topped with pie crust or a bacon weave. Looking forward to seeing the other entries tho.

I'm out.

I was considering making a queso dip pie... but never got the chance.

Perfect timing for a pickle pie submission by El Gaucho considering the lack of entries.

Or maybe a water pie. Except I’ve heard those are actually good.

Savory Eggplant Tart with Goat Cheese and Sun Dried Tomatoes

Eggplant (more than pictured), Italian sausage, ground pork, ground beef, and veg.

Diced the eggplant and simmered with the browned meats until tender. Not pictured.

I used fathead dough for the crust.

ETA: The first steps before the dough makes a great eggplant dressing. Brown and season the meats, add some chicken stock and the diced eggplant and simmer till eggplant is tender. Taste and adjust seasoning and then fold desired amount into cooked rice and voila!

Did you make it and is this a submission?

ETA: Never mind. I see the source of the pic.

Intermission Break. People are still covered with flour and they need me to kill some time for them...

Doesn't everyone know someone that should get this special pie?

Intermission over

Waiting for a pie entrance with vanilla from Mexico. but not the special ingredient

Lambda's Coconut Cream Pie
I started off with a store bought shell that i brought to room temperature.

Using my fancy poking tool, I poked holes all over the shell. This is to make sure that when you bake the shell you don't get any air pockets that appear.

I then baked the shell at 330 degrees for about 15 minutes.

While it was cooling, I made some vanilla pudding and added small ground coconut and coconut flavor.

Then on to the mixer

Once mixed, I spooned the cream into the now cool pie shell.

I whipped up a little batch of whipped cream and added it to a pastry bag.

Finished pie topped with toasted coconut and a Maraschino cherry.

ETA: Forgot the slice!
