Jordy is so damn obvious with his stumping. And to be clear I’m not nearly as anti-Napier as I was anti-O when Jordy participated in that crusade

Jordy about to pack up his whole operation and move to Fort Worth

Has him on almost every week. To be fair, he had him on last year. I think he likes napier, but i dont think its his first choice

This is so goddamn stupid.
Napier is from Tennessee and coached outside of Louisiana until he came to UL.
He is the furtherest thing from a good ole boy imaginable and would tolerate no good ole boys interfering in his program.
You fricking idiots trying to portray Napier as some type of Orgeron are the dumbest shite heads posting on this board.

Have you Napier Pumpers vetted the other Sun Belt coaches who have actually won the conference? If not, why? Because Napier just happens to be coaching down the road from BR?

I don't want Napier either, but it's not because he's another coon arse who "talks like us", because he's not, dumbass.

You keep thinking it's a Louisiana native thing but it's more of a "associated with Louisiana" campaign.
Of course Napier is probably better than O, and no one disputes he's from Tennessee and not a native. That doesn't mean he hasn't garnered all the same illogical sentimental support that Orgeron got from the media and local community. Which is exactly what a lot of people are observing as a strong parallel to O.
People typically make an intangibles and immeasurables appeal with Napier because his objective performance as a coach isn't anything that makes him standout, and even puts him on a far lower rung when considering the other coaches that could get hired at LSU.
I've seen people here push him over both Riley AND Fisher. I see people pimp his experience as WR coach with Saban and completely ignore any other coach's association with Saban, and some even had a higher level association.
I'm 100% confident that if Napier was the head coach at Midd Tenn State no one here would have mentioned him.

He pushed first for Lane until the Tennessee game. I mean who else is he going to interview right now?
Posted on 11/10/21 at 7:29 am to sicboy
This whole interview is coach speak and cliches, but he said one thing I like.
"It's one thing to collect talent, but it's another thing build a team." That is what LSU has mostly been missing with the NFLSU thing. We do not have a team that is willing to fight for each other. Our recruiting message needs to change to winning championships as a way to getting to the NFL rather than the 3 and out to NFL thing.

I do t think this is about Napier— but more so about BR Local Media stumping for a potential football coach they like.

You could say the same for Aranda then.
He has a 9-9 record as HC at Baylor. If he wasn't a former LSU DC he wouldn't even be discussed as a candidate.
Dave is "one of us".
That being said, I think he'd do great at LSU. "One of us" or not.

My question to these people is whether or not they think Scott Woodward is a good AD? In their heads they think it’s the fanbase and local media propping up Napier when he’s actually a serious candidate for this job whether they like it or not. They’re too dumb to realize that Napier has been on LSU’s campus over the past few years and has talked with and kept up with Woodward. He’s already been thoroughly vetted by Woodward and his name is still on the hot board.

Jesus Culotta is becoming like his best friend Derek. Campaigning for a freaking job. Good luck with the 8th candidate on the list.
