Damone Clark’s one of the 16 finalists for the Butkus award (the award d white won one year)
He’s got 100 tackles already with a couple tfl ,forced fumbles, sacks, and one interception
He’s came along well the last few games .
Without him , those chunk plays our d gives up would be house calls

It's pretty funny that he was the most hated on player and now he'll probably be the only player on the team to get any award recognition. Cade should but he might not kick enough.

Good for him. Really turned it around for himself after a horrid year last season. Hope the best for him. Seems like he loves being a Tiger

His body is built different than other linebackers . He’s longer and stronger looking than most lbs

Still think he isn't used at all properly in this defense. He should be playing on the edge or blitzing to take advantage of his speed. He's not an inside linebacker.

I do not agree with this statement. I believe if Dave Aranda was here he would be an extremely successful inside Linebacker. He like the rest of the defense has not been setup for success.

He’s not good, you can keep saying “muh tackles” all you want but he’s made a grand total of 1 impact play all season long and he misreads plays worse than anyone I’ve ever seen play LB at LSU. Just go rewatch any game, he’s on the opposite side of the field from where the play is going 75-90% of the time. It’s mind blowing how bad he is.

That 4-2-5 defense puts him in a bad spot where he has to clean everything up.

Apparently you haven’t seen his running mate Baskerville. Dude might be the worst MLB for us the past decade. I’ve never seen a guy plug the wrong hole as much as he does. Every running play he shoots the wrong gap and is looking into the backfield when the RB is already past the safeties. At least Clark makes up ground and brings ball carriers to the ground.

I don’t disagree that Baskerville does what you’re saying but Clark does too and you’re right, at least he hustles and runs people down. I’m not saying he’s a bad person or doesn’t try but he’s not an effective player. He’s being described as our only positive defensive player when the truth is the areas he’s responsible for are our weakest on the defense which is on him.

Guy played way better in 2019 under Aranda, unfortunately he was never put in a position to truly succeed in Ed’s dreadful 2020 and 2021 defenses.

I don't think you've been paying very much attention to this board.
The rant picks a handful of players every year to shite on all season. It starts with a few people making comments, and then the rest of the idiot brigade just jumps in and starts repeating it. This season it has been:
Clark - among the nations leaders in tackles. He's no D. White, but he's also not nearly as bad as the rant makes him out to be.
Stingley - will be a top 10 pick in the NFL draft.
This shows you the intelligence level of this board.
