No it would not make sense, you really think he wants to immediately follow the greatest college football coach in history. You follow the post Saban hire after Alabama runs him off for having 10-2 seasons.

That’s still 7 hours away from his job, on a weekday, when OU had a game to prepare for. He isn’t a high school coach who can get a sub to teach his PE class for the day lol

So in this thread alone, we have the following:
- A poster who is insistent that Riley was in Baton Rouge last week and met with multiple people in the athletics department.
- A poster who is convinced that Woodward did not terminate Orgeron without a coach already in place, with that coach specifically being Dabo Swinney according to their sources.
- A poster claiming their own sources saying that Riley and Dabo are the top two targets, but that Jimbo isn't even in the top 4 despite Vol saying he was a legit backup option.
- A poster who is insistent that Riley was in Baton Rouge last week and met with multiple people in the athletics department.

Why on earth would Dabo leave Clemson? Their offense sucks this year, but the D is still legit and he’s still recruiting at elite levels. They had an unreal 10 year run where they had 3 starting QBs. They were bound to eventually miss on one. On top of that he’s making $9 million a year till 2028.

Wrong. It was through a charter company out of Omaha (Jet Linx) and the total flight time was 1 hour and 16 minutes each way.
Thursdays are light days Riley got in fairly early in the morning and was back at the OU airport by 1:27 for practice.

Riley and Dabo honestly seem unrealistic even for the money they're offering. I can see why some are not excited for Dabo but you need to look that hire objectively. Even if he's another CEO hire he's way better than an Orgeron/Miles CEO hire. He would be a homerun in a different way than Riley.
