He can make $400k per year for eternity if he invests it properly and earns 4% annually.

He is not getting the emote $17 Million upfront.
$5 million at end of season. O has responsibilities to LSU for a few years for the rest of the funds. If Title 9 blows up, then LSU can fire with cause and not payout the entire amount.
