We are in need of a new washing machine, so my questions are: is sped queen worth the money? If not, what’s your recommendation?

Bought the Speed Queen last month. Cut full load wash time by 20 min and does a great job. Would recommend. Call Mike Barrett at Stantons on Sherwood.

Yes to SQ. Laura Boudreaux at Stanton’s.

Not everyone that sells Speed Queen is authorize to repair is what I discovered. May ask about service after the sale.

This x 1000.
This model is the old school counter rotating agitator and no lid lock.
The other 4 models are shite.
If Stantons is out of stock try Gormans in P-ville or mail order.

Hell yes to Speed Queen
HELL NO to Stanton's and their a-hole 'service'. Bunch of good for nothing, worthless, money grubbing jerks.

We bought a just above basic Maytag set from Home Depot about 4 years ago and love them. Standard top load for both.

1100 or so now that will last probably 20 years or more, vs. 7-800 now then another 7-800 in 4-5 years, repeat, repeat.

Completely agree. We learned this about appliance purchases over the last couple years. However you still have to make sure the higher priced appliances are not just overpriced junk. The box store stock are disposable appliances.
We have Electrolux W/D. Worth every penny.

True, but the advantage of SQ is that they rarely break and are extremely easy to do home repairs.

Have a brand new SQ washing machine in my garage
Will install it shortly.
Brought it home y-day. Not real easy to find them right now. There were none in Memphis when I was looking (bought this one 3weeks ago but just able to get it y-day)
