Bush was a Republican, Biden is a Democrat.

Seriously that’s the difference.

Did Bush shut oil production, pipelines down, restrict drilling, etc?

I think that's the difference. Biden has made an concerted effort to raise gas prices, why shouldn't he get the credit/blame for it?

Biden wants to hurt the country. Bush didn't.

You do not understand how gas prices work. Please talk about something you have more knowledge in.

We imported a LOT of oil during Bush.
We produced our own oil during Trump.
We are back to importing a LOT of oil during Biden.

The way to avoid gas price increases is to do Trump.

during bush's presidency we weren't energy independent, so we were at the mercy of OPEC. Shale fracking technology wasn't ready for mass production until obama's presidency, and that's what let us to independent.

under trump, we became independent because he greenlit leases on public land; biden suspended those leases. simple as.

Insults a response as ignorant without offering a single word of a different, “informed” solution.

Typical.

They won't compare Trump's gas prices to Biden? Self-imposed high gas prices for Biden. He's an economic idiot!

Both are complete fricking idiots who could frick up a wet dream. Both revered by the left for being terrible at their job, but not sending mean tweets

Add in the Katrina effects of 2005 that took a already rising fuel crisis and kicked it to overdrive . Most importantly the price was self inflicted like scaling back productivity, closing coal facilities or no strength in foreign markets

Bush was eventually able to lower gas prices by impacting futures trading (in his last SOTU he stated his desire to remove the bans on drilling, eventually Congress followed his lead).

Note that those drops began on the date those ban removals were signed, not after supply increased. Speculators shorted the frick out of oil futures so much that gasoline prices dropped ~50% within six months.

I love these types of replies. Tell you that you are a moron and stick to your lane, without offering any actual knowledge.

Same world as Twitter/Facebook. Read the comments and you'll see some 400lb green hair they/them act like they have all the knowledge, so you click they/them profile, to see they/them change jobs every year, from Big Lots to Shell Station to Walmart to Kroger to wherever. That's the same track most geniuses take. Too smart for real jobs or academia.

Wasn't meant as an insult. Are you so fragile that simply stating the truth is an insult to you?

Bush was Greenspan's little bitch. Neither one of them had a freaking clue how to handle an economy that heated up with dot com companies. There should never have been the infamous "dot com bubble" if either of those 2 had a lick of sense. They could have used it as a spring board for growth.

But having said that, even Lil Bush wasn't dumb enough to issue an EO shutting down an XL pipeline in his first day in office under the umbrella of climate change and green new deal bullshite.

Actually, your boy trump tried to raise gas prices, by getting involved in negotiations on capping oil production in the Middle East. His words were something to the effect of lower gas prices were a sign of a bad economy. Look it up.

Here’s a nice article about it: The actual reason for higher gas prices
