I used to live in DC and we had Chipotles all over the place. I now live in Baton Rouge where there are none. I have not found a burrito in Baton Rouge that comes close. To those who live with a Chipotle in your town, how say you? Yea or Nay?

You won't find anything in Baton Rogue that "comes close" to culinary excellence.

What you can get in NOLA taco trucks is light years ahead of the finest Mexican restaurants of Baton Rogue.

Personally, Nay. I'd take Izzo's.

TulaneLSU, did you even read the post? Way to answer a question that wasn't asked.

Nay, Izzos is better. I was expecting it to be good and was sorely disappointed when I had it a few weeks ago.

Nay...I don't get the fascination with this place. I consider it half a step above Taco Bell.

Really? I much prefer the lime-cilantro rice over whatever it is Izzo's puts in their burritos.

I'd agree with that. For fast food crispy tacos though, Chipotle's hard to beat. For whatever reason, it's hard to find crispy tacos. I like crispy tacos.

I need to dust off my bullet- proof vest and polish up my NOLA-inflected ghetto slang, maybe get familiar with who the rappers are, and get down there for some of that culinary excellence...

Let me know what grocery stores to stay out of , so I don't get whacked by a cop...

i live "in" dc. i vote nay on chipotle. i don't think they're that great. i wouldn't say they're crap, but there's one on every other corner here and i've eaten there probably 5 times in the 4 or 5 years they've been here. two of those were because i didn't have a choice.

yea.. I like Chipotle. I ate it all the time in Denver... I miss it now that I'm back in New Orleans. I'm looking forward to Izzo's opening up in Metairie.
