Friend is going there for work, normally he'd come to nola for seafood but he doesn't have time.

What's the best for dinner/fried seafood and oysters

Parrain's?
Roux 61?

Other thoughts?

Lagniappe…fried crab claws for an app and then get a piece of pan fried fish. They don’t skimp with crab meat on top, either.

If I was taking from someone out of town I'd go to Parrain's.

Parrain's

Parrains is still excellent. One of the few Baton Rouge restaurants that’s been able to hold the quality all this time.

Parrains or Mike Anderson’s if you want Fried Seafood.

Overall best seafood is Lagniappe.

I agree with Lagniappe, Parrains, and Mike Andersons. Phil’s Is a great choice as well.

I’d choose Lagniaooe for fancier, Parrains for general casual all-around seafood, and Mike for fried seafood.

I would like to name Drusilla, but it is on the same level anymore.

I would consider Mansur's if your friend likes oysters. Their chargrilled are hard to beat. There are plenty of other good seafood options on the menu as well.

Drusilla hasn't been 'on the same level' since the 90s
