Gardner is accused of putting two-year-old Neveah Allen inside a suitcase before dumping her body in Mississippi.

Her body was found on Sept. 26 in Hancock County, Mississippi.

Police allege her mother hit the little girl inside their Baton Rouge apartment, causing her to fall into a piece of furniture after discovering her playing with a pair of the mother’s contact lenses.

Absolutely sickening. This is the horror that occurs in NBR on a regular basis.

Really makes you wonder at what point does crime around campus start impacting enrollment? It hasn't seemed to matter yet. It definitely gives me pause about sending the youngest one to LSU in a few years. How many murders have there been around Burbank in the past few years? It seems like 4-5 and that's the nicer side of campus.

Damn, that is getting really close to the campus area. Those weren't bad places to live 10 years ago when they were University Crescent/Commons. Guess this is what happens when you have shite leadership.

One mass shooting away at some Florida Boulevard club where multiple people are shot to death. Think about all the killers that have murdered at least one person that are walking freely in Baton Rouge right now.

Used to play sand volleyball there weekly from like 04-07. Place was awesome then.

BR has slowly been turned to shite after Katrina/bad leadership.
Get out while you can.

I always laugh when I realize just how close the filth of Baton Rouge is to campus over off Highland west of State St.

Imagine not having a clue your teenaged daughter will be living about 2 blocks over from the worst of the worst when you send her off to college down here.
