he only one I can agree with is Lafayette. So may people there have a strange amount of pride of their hometown. They're very insecure

What do you mean, insecure?
Anytime Lafayette is mentioned it’s just someone shitting on it because of the lack of Ubers or Affliction t shirts. No one here is pounding their chest about Lafayette.

Not going to lie I have no clue where Moss Bluff is. Probably for a reason, they too snobby and don’t want me to know

All of those towns are shitholes.
Lafayette is the least shitty of the larger cities in the state

That doesn't even mean I think it's the best, but it's less shitty compared to the rest of the state.

I’d argue that the definition for “old money” depends on where you’re at. Modern property rights in North America only goes back to the 1500’s (and practically none of that was in the US).

For the US I’d say anything pre-1900 should definitely qualify as “old money”. Obviously places that have had settlement/property rights longer will have longer scales.

My folks are from Moss Bluff. I’ve worked and built all over this state. I don’t get any snobby vibes from people in the bluff. What’s there to be snobby about?

Lafayette people aren’t snobby. They’re like those neighbors that always bitch and criticize every time someone in the neighborhood gets a new car.

Now whoever said Shreveport is 100% spot on. I did two retail jobs in Shreveport and you would think you were in Plano, TX the way people talk.

Most people I come across from North La seem uppity with their above sea level attitude. I had a friend that moved up there and tried to get a job at some pool supply store and the owner told him since he smoked (cigarettes) he wouldn't hire him because It was looked down upon at the church he belonged to.

That makes no sense, everybody in north La smokes cigarettes, even outside of churches.
