Wanted him all day in 16 instead of O. He would have been fine here, team was built to win and he still gets big dick joe to come

again, just because a coach fails at one school doesn't mean he'd necessarily fail at another school. Some schools are apples and oranges.

I think Herman at LSU would've done very well. And remember that Texas didn't implode under Herman - they just didn't take the step up they were expecting. He was 32-18 (and 22-13 in conference).

If retard 0 can have the greatest season in history, who says anyone else couldn't? Our past two coaches are buffoons and had two of the greatest seasons in the game.

After seeing what Orgeron was responsible for at USC and Ole Miss, absolutely, I thought Herman would have been a good match.

I wanted him but not for the price tag he had at the time. Definitely didn't want Orgeron when that fell through

Herman would’ve been a good hire here. Texas isn’t an easy job and he brought them some semblance of relevance these last few years

Without a doubt. I honestly think Aranda could be the next “big name” coach in college football

Yeah I wanted him and I've seen nothing to persuade me if O won here he couldn't win here either. Look I'm not white knighting for herman and saying his the best coach over but let's look at it. Texas had 4 straight LOSING seasons before he got there and had 4 straight WINING seasons under him.

He was not fired for being terrible at Texas. He didn't have Texas looking like a freaking disaster that might finish last in the conference like O has lsu. He beats iowa state last year and he would have made the big 12 title games. O could have took over Texas in 2017 and would have never won more than 5 games

I wanted Herman or Jimbo, with a slight lean toward Herman.

I didn't want him, even before he proved to be another bad hire at Texas. Didn't like that he kissed his players, and I wasn't impressed with his offense or his teams' performance against good teams.

Did Alleva ever consider anyone besides Herman, Jimbo or Orgeron? I don't recall any other names mentioned as serious candidates.

Well so why don’t y’all want him now?

Many say he’d have done well here and many think he’d have done better here than he did in Texas so why not put him at the top of the list?

The guy is working as a consultant. He’s totally available.

Why not now?
What has really changed?

It was considered a homerun hire. Just because it didn't work out doesn't change that. ADs aren't always right either. There's no guarantee that LSU's next coach won't flop too.
