I have honey bees going into bottom of my storage shed. They are going into small hole at the bottom where the wood meets the slab. I need information or contact on someone that can help! They are probably inside the walls. TIA

I had honey bees set up a hive in one of my walls in a storage shed many years ago much the same way you are describing.

When I found their entrance/exit hole, I blocked it off then drilled several holes in the sheetrock covering that area of the wall and sprayed with insecticide.

I was not in the least interested in trying to salvage any honey that may have been in their hive and more concerned not having my son, who was just a tot at the time, being stung by them.

I waited a couple days and then cut out the sheetrock to expose a fair size hive that I removed and then had to clean out the cavity really well since I knew it was going to get ripe once the hive was dead. Then put up a new piece of sheetrock, finished it and repainted.

Oh, and fixed the access hole when done.

Bruh, much better ways to remove a hive that don’t involve killing them. Without bees we don’t live

Doubt the death of those bees is gonna be the end of mankind. Save them when you can, but i ain’t blaming him for his solution.

Or if you’re on Facebook, look up the Louisiana Beekeepers Association group and post your problem there. I guarantee someone will get in touch and collect them.

Actually, I had bees getting into my soffit on my house six years ago. Called a bee guy to do the right thing. He didn’t even try to get them. He just killed them with what he said was basically 7 dust.

Well, this was in the late 70's when there was no real threat to the existence of honey bees like there seems to be going on today with diseases affecting their hives.

Fact: Honey bees are not a native species to North America and were introduced by Europeans in the 1600s.
