I just maxed out my wife’s IRA with voyager this year yesterday. . Did SLI last year and visa the year before. So far it’s worked out very well for me. I generally just throw it all at one stock I like for the year
Mine on the other hand I try to trade and while amazing last year. It’s been nothing short of catastrophic this year lol

Put half in an ETF, then manage a few stocks with other half.
See what you can do versus a broad index that literally takes you no time to manage, then decide if it’s worth it over time.

All us Rookies had fun last year. this year has been polar opposite. I'm not doing so well myself but buying what i believe to be companies that have been around for a while and companies that seem to have some great products. I own over 20 stocks and its hard to watch all that red but hoping over time that the sea of red will all be green.

I have Standard Lithium in mine, but not much. Most of my Roth is in a 2055 Target fund even though I'm already retired. Roth is the last thing you want to withdraw in Retirement, so I figure that is going to the kids and I invest it accordingly.

Why do you say it is the last thing you want to withdraw? In ideal situation, you would use your withrdawals to maximize your tax situation.

I sold at .34 and was hoping for a swing but it just kept going down. I missed the two massive 100% swings when it bottomed out at .012 and .008 and then just said frick it. I like the company a lot but man the stock looks dead. Been wanting an entry but need some confirmation of a reversal. I got lucky but I had been able to play swings multiple times and came out of it roughly at 160% of my money. I mentioned on the discord the moment I got out multiple times.
I just wish I played wdlf the same way. That one in down like 75% on haha

Sure, but for most folks that means last.

Yeah besides SLI and some short flips out there, it’s a brutal market. Looking at individual stocks, you’d think the market was 20-40% off the high, not 10%.

My Roth IRA is 75% stocks and 25% Vanguard 2050 Target Fund (VFIFX)
